I have an excellent source of pallets that are 8' x 30". This is the coop we just finished today.

Super use of those pallets!

Are you going to paint it?
How big did it end up being?
The nest lid holder .... Where did you find such a cute one?

Haha! The nest lid holder is #2 of 5 (and one more on the way). The dimensions are roughly 8' L x 6' W x 5' H. The front peak of the roof is about 6.5' high and the back is 5'. I'd still like to add some wheels to it and make it moveable, but it's pretty heavy.

I may paint it. But not right now. Time to move on to the 500 other projects on my list =). It'll be a good kid project actually. I'll probably put 'em to work soon.

Wow that looks like mine I like it I'm not going to paint mine I like the old look mine is also made from pallets I hope to finish it this week. How many chickens will you have. Mine 6x4 and I plan on starting with six

looks great and the cost was low.....

Thanks. Yeah, free is pretty cheap =) I had all the roofing and chicken wire left over from other projects so really I just had to buy some hardware for the door and the lid and screws and nails. Total cost was about $30.
