My New Chicken Guardian Dogs

x2 . . . What Bear Foot said!

I was fortunate enough to get young puppies, so I made their bed inside the chicken coop at night.
They don't "bond" with the chickens like they would with other livestock like sheep, but because they "live with" the chickens, the chickens are kinda protected by default.
Now that I have a flock of chickens that roost inside my pole barn, the dogs spend all their time there.
My only challenge has been keeping the dogs from eating up all the chicken feed.
I now have to feed the chickens from a tray on top of a breeding pen I have inside the pole barn.

Also, because I want my dogs to bark at any and everything that doesn't belong here, I go outside whenever I hear them barking or I'll turn on an outside light to let them know they're doing a good job.
They don't bark much, but when they do, I know something is out there lurking in the darkness.
