Thanks!!
I bought it from...

For the safety of my chickens I didn't want to construct it myself

But they do sell the plans for DIYers

Wow! That's close enough that I could conceivably go pick one up....it would be a day trip, but I could do it. Hmm, very tempting! Thanks so much for the link.

Good luck!
If I lived that close I would have probably already placed my order for a second tractor. This one is so much fun! And it is so easy to move that my poor girls never know where they are going to wake up the next day

Sounds really nice. Can I ask a couple more questions?

What size did you get, was there a charge for delivery (and if so, what was it), and how many chickens do you keep in it?

I couldn't seem to find a picture on their web site of the interior of the coop part, so I'm a little concerned about them possibly being crowded if they're all inside.

Sure! I can talk coops, tractors & chickens ALL DAY, I am officially an addict

I bought the complete 4'x10', which came completely asembled with automatic feeder, automatic waterer, & tarp. I believe the website says its capacity is ten chickens, I currently only have four young pullets (mainly because I haven't found the other breeds on my wish list yet). Delivery was in the range of $300, it is a distance of 1,100 miles from them to me.

The roosting area seems to be quite roomy, it is 24" deep x 4' wide with two roosting bars... This pic is taken through one of the nestboxes... the picture makes it look like the two roosting bars are directly over one another, but they aren't...

This is a link to their picture of roosting area with the next box removed so it makes it easier to see... http://webhosting.web.com/imagelib/sitebuilder/misc/show_image.html?linkedwidth=560&linkpath=http://www.chickenmobilestagecoach.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/100_0947.jpg&target=_self

This
is with tarp on...

Sweet! Thank you juliect for all of the info and pics. I've bookmarked this page to refer back to it. Hopefully I'll be getting a green version of the coop for myself in the future.

You are welcome. If you have anymore questions feel free to email me (goodness knows I had plenty of questions before I ordered mine)

Cam I ask--- How were you injured?

Myself I took a flying leap off the top of a 24' ladder. While falling I tried to get my legs under me, got as far as my butt. Landed in amongst a pile of limbs, in a somewhat seated position. My wife who watched it all happen ran up asking are you hurt? Being the macho dummy that I am, I told her help me to my feet, I'll be all right. When I got to my feet I remember the feeling like something grinding in my back. Then my legs started burning. I managed to walk as far as the tractor, I sat down on the bush hog, the wife lifted the BH with the tractor hydraulics and hauled me to the house, 1/4 mile away. That's where I was when the ambulance arrived.

OMG, a 24' fall...

You are so lucky to be alive.. Are you able to walk now?

I was in a horseback riding accident and had a 1300 lb. horse fall on me right across my waist. It was just a freak accident. I tried to jump up and get out of the way after the horse rolled off of me, but I never even made it all the way up.

I got about halfway to my feet and everything gave out and I fell flat on my back and stayed there till the ambulance got there. My lower back felt like it was on fire and I have never felt pain like that before. It was 3 hours before they would give me anything for pain because I was going into shock and they were scared of internal bleeding. It was just an awful experience. On the bright side though, they didn't have to do any kind of surgery and my Dr. says I should be fine and not have many problems later on in life. We'll see... Lol, there are still days that I can barely get out of bed.
