my new chickens

hey everybody! I m new to chicken keeping. I got these two chicken for christmas, since I had been begging for one. I need to know which breed are they, so I can meet their needs. thank you!

The first one looks like an Australorp but I don't know about the second one.

I think they are mixed as australorps dont have white ear lobes or yellow legs what does the brown ones body look like?

Look like mixes to me too, and they would have the same needs as any other chicken. Good luck with them

Looks like two lovely hens of the barnyard variety. There is a lot of good information on this site about caring for chickens and I'd encourage you to read all that you can since 2 hens have been known to turn to 20 by a process known as "chicken math".

The first looks to be an Australorp X Rhode Island Red. Pure bread australorp has black eyes and legs. ;-)
