So, I'm almost eleven and I hatched chicken eggs in science class. One is Charolette (yes that's how I spell Charlotte:)) and I wanted to know if she looks like she would be a a good show bird (she's a silkie)

silkies are very difficult to sex before 4-5 mos of age. There are several silkie threads on BYC that you might want to subscribe to, there is even one for grooming and bathing silkies for show. I generally check in on the one called "Silkie thread." Silkie people are likely to give you the best information and evaluation of your chick when older.

Good luck, I showed my first Cocker when I was 12 (got 2nd. out of 2 entries) but, I was hooked. Ended up showing and breeding several champions.

Drumstick diva,
I'm almost positive she is a girl. I sexed her when she was very young (one day) using the wings. I think she's a girl!

They must be 4 months old to show as a pullet or cockerel, by then you can compare her to the breed standard to see if she conforms. Do a search for "the standard of perfection" that is what all shows are judged by.
Welcome and enjoy!
