Alright. So I was 'suppose' to be banned from buying anymore birds this year cause I just ordered some silkie chicks from flordia. But I went to the animal fair yesterday and picked up some more chicks I couldn't resist.

Anyway I took some pictures of some of my new babies.

First up, my new Show Quailty Light Brahmas. I am so very very excited about these. I only have hatchery brahmas right now. And I have been wanting to get some actual breeder ones for a long time. Well I got lucky enough to find a guy that was selling some chicks from his personal flock. This is the only time he was and will be selling. He shipped his in from a very very good breeder in PA. And these chicks look like no other Brahma chicks I have seen. They are so cute and big, and their feet are so fuzzy. I have high hopes for these guys. My only regret is that I was only able to get two. But he told me he might be willing to trade me a breeding trio from his private flock in exchange for a website design.

So whats everyone think?

Adding pictures of my new silkie in a second.

Next up is my new silkie. I bought some expensive chicks from Flordia that are due to get here on thursday but at the fair I saw this little baby and I just couldn't pass 'her' up.

She isn't very good quality. In fact she has 6 toes on one foot, and 5 on the other. Which freaks me out cause I have never had a silkie before, 5 toes is creepy, and 6 is even more so.

I will probably just keep 'her' as a pet, or resale her later on. I only paid a $1 for her.

But I just couldn't pass her up cause she was too cute.

She is a little blue cutie. My others coming are splash and white. So if she isn't too terribly bad perhaps I will keep her around and just get some pet quailty pet chicks from her.

I am no silkie expert, so I will just have to wait and see what she turns out like. If 'she' turns out to be a 'he' well then. I'll be looking for a new home for her.
