Ok so a local breeder that I have befriended now that I'm raising my flock asked me to take there one year old Cochin rooster. I did so because the frizzle rooster they have was attacking him and he is so docile that he would not defend himself. Well I had to rescue him I wanted to give him a great home and the chance to heal. My flock is young and will not bother him and has not since he arrived yesterday. Here is my problem, He is drinking great and I am nursing his injuries that consists mostly of injuries to his comb and waddle but his eating is sub par I offered dried bread and he would not eat it but I accidentally dropped some in the water dish and he had no problem and seem to enjoy eating the wet bread. Any suggestions for a newbie that wants to save this majestic boy
