My new coop...4ft x 8ft with 9ft x 8ft run attached..

i did mine the exact same way off a 4x8 pallet base with the run off the front except i angled the run roof from 6.5' and the coop to 5' it works great for my 6..how tall is the back wall and how did you screen in those windows its looking real good

It looks good. It looks a lot like my setup, except mine is portable and not quite as polished. This is before I added the welded wire layer. The coop is hardware cloth and welded wire for nighttime security. The run is just chicken wire and welded wire to keep my dogs honest.

My walls are about same as yours give or take few inches. I think front wall is about 5 feet and back is 4 ish inside. I couldn't go much higher because of codes in my city but I think it will work out.

For the windows I just used some 1x1 and framed near outer edge of window and then stapled hardware cloth on inside and framed exact same way inside to sandwich the hardware cloth between. I will be building shutter ls for the winter even though we probably dont meed them here in northern california....we dont get much rain and definitely no snow. Just for some warmth.

As for the clean9ur door inside run...I did it this way because a large shed is going up right next to the coop/run. Back side of coop is about 3 feet to the fence and the other side is the nesting boxes so inside was all I was left with. I made the door for the run large enough to fit a wheel barrow through it and reinforced the base to handle a wheel Barrow with some weight and going to be building up small ramp on entrance. I can reach almost all the interior from the doorway.

I'm about 700.00 into now not counting any tools I picked up (i obviously needed them anyway!)

Pretty sure I spent more on new tools that I “needed” than the actual coop. You know a impact drill is better than a regular drill. A nail gun beats a hammer and so on. But hey now I own some tools for my dad and father in law to use! Coop looks good!

Are you going to put some roosts in the coop? I have my roosts arranged like # about a foot from the outside walls. It's about 20' of roost.
