Sara,
We are patiently (alright, *impatiently*) waiting for MORE photos of your coop. Have you moved your hens into their new digs?
I'd also like to see how you've placed your nests, roosts, etc. in the coop. Did you do anything special for the summer heat? I seem to be more worried about the heat than cold.....

I'm really happy for you ~ the coop looks wonderful. Your carpenter did a fabulous job with the building.

Unfortunately this horrid rain has really slowed work down. My carpenter couldn't come until yesterday and only had a couple of hours before the rain came down again. He still made good progress, he got the roof on and the back built along with the nest boxes. I don't know if he'll be able to complete it before the weekend; is it raining as hard up by you? It was NONSTOP from noon yesterday down by us.

As for summer heat, there are two vents on both ends of the house under the roof, and the two windows open up. I need to put screen over them. But I live close enough to the ocean that it never gets very hot by me; and the coop is under a big tree so its shady all day.

I promise I will take photos just as soon as its finished (or it stops raining!)

this rain has been tremendous. back yard is totally flooded and the ladies are a little ticked.
still laying eggs though. good girls.

good thing the roof went up! looking forward to some more pics
