This is my first chicken coop, and as I cannot build anything, I found it online and assembled it with some help. So far, the chickens love it!

In the future, I will have another coop with a bigger run down in the backyard, and this one will be for rehab, or raising up chicks. For now it's nice that it's up on the deck and under the pergola, as it has been bleedin' HOT this week!

The wet spot is just where I hosed a spot, not coming from the coop :)

There is a big screened door on the right side of the roost box that you can't see.

fake eggs in the nest box...chickens are only 4 months old.

I have loved seeing all of the coops people have, so wanted to share mine :)

that's a pretty good looking starter coop. but don't underestimate your carpentry skills. its really not hard, most people overthink it. im not saying a starter should take on a roll top desk, but chicken coops are pretty easy - a good first timer large project.

it is best to have someone help you who has built something before, and has good knowledge of tools. -if you don't yourself.

if you get lost, just put a post on here; there are several of us eager to help.
