My New Coop

Well, Hubby spent the last 2 weekends building my new coop...one minor error made and fixed (notice the handles are upside down) -- I love this design, we researched for our "city living" chicks and the fact that we have 2 sharp shinned hawks living in the neighborhood. We're going this Saturday to pick up our barred rock pullets!!

He did a great job!! I think the handles are just fine that way!

Looks nicely done, but if there are hawks and/or dogs in the area, please replace the chicken wire with hardware cloth. Sadly, this is the voice of experience.

OOOhhh, lovely!! I too think the handles are fine, infact I think haveing them the other way around wouldnt be as comfy to use... Enjoy!

I think they mean the black handles on the green roof part.

looks great good job but yeah put some hardware cloth on it for sure chicken wire is made to keep chickens in but wont keep nothing out

Your Lowe's probably has hardware cloth somewhere in the fence dept. Never saw one that didn't, but if you don't see it, ask for it. Cute tractor! I agree about the stronger wire. Rocks are my favorite breed, especially the barred variety. Love my blues and black as well.
