Well... I could really have done with that Hazmat suit. Cleaning these babies out has just been THE most disgusting job ever. But it's going quite well. They've both been pressure steam cleaned inside and out and look much better with all the moss and dirt and poop gone. I spent today clearing up a spare corner of our yard where I'm going to put one of them. It's a funny wedge shaped space between our cow shed and the fence into our neighbours' field. Usually it's where we store spare building materials and old machinery and it's a horrible dirty corner. Well, it was until today, but now it's looking quite good. We cleared it out and leveled it up with road planings, then I put up a wooden fence panel at the back and a 6' high weld mesh fence along the side. Tomorrow we're going to lift the better of the two coops back in there and then build a fence along the front, with a door in it. The run will be about 30' long, 6' wide at the back and about 16' wide at the front.
