Hey everybody! Lexibird1 here. So listen. I got fertile eggs (EE) and we are looking into brooders and coops. We will build the coop. Build or buy the brooder? If you say buy could you suggest any websites or places (preferably near Medford NJ) for me? If possible cheap (money wise). The eggs will hatch in just a few days. (Probably the 6 or 7 of September.) I have four eggs. Ya know. FYI. Thanks!!!

A brooder can be anything really. A big cardboard box will work fine. I've used everything from a cardboard box to a wooden bookcase, shelves removed. Best of luck with your hatching eggs!

:frow & :welcome from Alabama. Glad you joined us. Completely agree with the others. We have a large brooder we built, but if it's full we use large plastic storage totes instead. Good luck with your hatch :thumbsup

Hi and :welcome from Ohio. So glad to have you aboard. I have used the large totes as well. Just a word of caution with them, use a small water font when using the totes. A member here posted that the water font that they used tip over and all the water ran out and drowned her chicks. I place mine on a small piece of wood to keep the font flat and steady. Good luck with your hatch. :thumbsup

I can't add much to the above posters' advice. Enjoy your chicks!
