Hello, all! I’m not sure who read my post from yesterday, but it was about taking hatching eggs from my brooder due to her killing all of the hatchlings. I put all of the eggs in a box with a heat lamp. At first, I sprayed them with water, but then I learned to just put a small bowel of water in with them. The heat was around 90-95 degrees, and I’m very unsure of the humidity. I was worried that no eggs would hatch due to my heat and humidity, but I was wrong! I had 9 baby chicks hatch with a temperature under normal limits. Also, the box was uncovered and with no set humidity! I know that everywhere says they have to be at a certain temperature and humidity to hatch, but I experienced something differently! I have 9 HEALTHY babies that hatched. I just wanted to post my experience to see if anyone has ever experienced anything similar and to get your thoughts on this!

I have not hatched chicks that way but a friend of mine did in a similar way. He put them in a bowl with a heat lamp over the bowl to keep the eggs warm and had a successful hatch.
