My New Geese........What Kind? Named them Emo & Emma!!!!!

I traded 3 tom turks for a pair of geese. Are they White Embden? I've only had geese once before, but my dogs decided they were too much fun & that was the end of them. I can't have ducks or geese on the pond because of my dogs, so these two are living in my barn lot with my chickens & turkeys.

They are supposed to be a male & female, 3 years old. Can you verify from the pic?

They look like it to me. Honestly there's not a lot of geese that are completely white. Sebastapolles, but they're definantly not that

At least i can't think of a lot of white ones

. We have toulouse and buff geese, and a couple sebastapolles, but these are my first geese experiences myself.

They look like the White Embden in the McMurray catalog. There are also White Chinese in there, but mine don't have the knot on their beak.

I have white Embden and they look the same as mine - so chances are they will be Embden - good choice! I also have Toulouse and they mix together perfectly!

They look just like my Embden

It will be hard to figure out which one is which, in terms of sex. The gander is usually a little bigger, and more outgoing. He will boss around his wife more, and usually will be the one in the lead. Whoever lays eggs in the spring is gonna be the clincher for the girl

The girl who traded with me said the one with the flabby belly is a girl. Wait...... was she calling ME a girl? Hmmmm

The one with the huge egg belly is the female, the other a gander is my guess.
