Before I get into it... I'm just so happy to say that I can finally post into the "Raising Baby Chicks" than in the "Incubating and hatching eggs!" Although I LOVED the experience... I'm just so glad I have chicks now!!

Hey!
I am SOOO pumped to see that 6 of my 7 eggs were hatched on Saturday July 28... (Which surprised me because they were SUPPOSED to hatch on the 29th unless I counted wrong!?!) I was at my lake house at the time when they hatched, so sadly I didn't get to see them being hatched although I did get to help one out when the little guy (hoping little girl
) was having trouble! He was later named "awesome" for his strength and determination to get out of his shell
. He's my buddy and pal... and doesn't mind me picking him up at all!!
I have some pretty strange combinations of chickies here... Here are my breeds...
Barred Rock
Leghorn
Jersey Giant
Australorp
All mixed with a Jersey Giant roo
( yeaaa... he did his job fertilizing! EVERY egg had a little chicky in it... they just didn't make it all the way
)
Alright... here are my chickadees!
( I didn't exactly have a say on the names either...)
My pal...
Post your next!!
