My new hen... help!

I commented on your post in the silkie sexing thread, but was so intrigued by how gorgeous he is, I did some "research". You might like to post him in this thread for color opinions: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/410559/silkies-of-a-different-color/1350
He actually looks a lot like the "buff partridge" and/or "blue partridge" discussed in the last few posts there.
And although he's undoubtedly a rooster, if you're allowed them, I'd keep him for his rarity/uniqueness! Or heck, I'd take him off your hands for you. :gig :love

Oh, and here are the indicators of his being a boy, for information's sake.
Tall, proud stance
Bright color in the wings (and in this case, head/neck, also indicating that is some form of partridge coloration)
Raised comb forming
Long, flowing hackle (neck) feathers
Saddle feathers (Long, flowy feathers starting at the back and hanging down the sides, behind the wings, at the base of the tail)
Long, "fancy" feathers at the top of the tail
"Streamers" in the crest (noticeably longer feathers that poke out of the back of the crest, look like thin ribbons)
:)

Well, all plans were to keep him, even thou he is a 'he' LOL but the neighborhood hawk had other intentions. =( My flock of 8 went to 4 in 2 days and he was one that met his demise. I hate it because you will never get one like him again... =(
