ok so i needed a new bator and im not going to be hatching major so it was not worth forking out major bucks for an impressive one and i already have one home made bator so i decided to make another one but with improvements so here is my new bator please tell me what you think

this is the veiw of the bator as you see i have put 2 windows on this one and they are glass so will hold the heat better than plastic which is the reason for the picture frame fronts surrounding them

this is a veiw inside the bator as you can see i have made my own turner as i now im going to be having scattered hatchins this way i dont need to open the incubator i can turn it manually without needing to open the incubator up and i have a hatching area as i dont do carton hatching the dish is a special water spounge that i had for my lizard as they need a high humidity and i have the humidity reader in there with 2 thermometers (for more information on how i made the turner just ask if works amazingly and ive added bumpers so it lands nice and softly no judering) the fan is home made but im getting a computer fan tomorrow as its louder than i would like the floor is none slip matting with a fleece below it for easy cleaning just throw them in the washer hey presto and the tempreture is holding steady at 102 and the humidity is steady too, there will be a partition during hatching so chicks cannot get under the turner.

as long as the temp hold steady overnight the eggs that i got today will be going in tomorrow

please tell me what you think and if you have any idea's to make it better

Does an egg turner actually turn the egg completely over, over part way, or just sort of shift it?

it turns them from one side to the next by almost 160 degrees couldnt get the whole 180 but the 160 should be fine i think as i was once told i doubt a chicken measures how much she turns her egg by

Wow!! Good job!! I just made one myself, I used an old PC fan, and it's doing the job just fine... Make sure it's mounted a little ways away from the wall so it will circulate the air, I hot glued 4 pieces of styrofoam to the corners of the fan, then hot glued it to the wall of the incubator. Good luck!! happy hatching!
