I want to use a CPU fan and water heater element as well, even a thermostat from a water heater.

My problem lies here.

The CPU fan doesn't run on 240v. I was thinking of getting an AT power supply to drive the CPU fan.

Are you an electrician who wires all this up.

I'd be afraid of the electricity. I could rig up the bulb and thermostat, but not the CPU fan.

More info please.

edster, I am not an electrician and I managed to wire my own. You can see my incubator in the links below in the footer of this post.

I am not sure of the differences in electricity here and there but if you look at how I wired my cpu fan I am sure you can find exactly what you need and fix it the same way I did.

I am now scavaging parts for a second 'bator to double as a hatcher.

Good luck!

Your a gem, never thought of a seperate supply for the CPU fan.

I'm of to plumbing world for a thermostat.

Mind you I'll have to try it later as the foot warmer of the father in law is fluctuating between 37degC and 39 degC. with its own thermostat.

Its 300mmx400mm and sits in the incubator, albeit on an angle.

Here is the chilli bin

And here is the inside. You can see the foot pad, and in the bottom right corner is a jar of water.

I'll candle the eggs at day 7-10 and also the ones under the hen, she is on 14, and throw her dud eggs and replace them with these in the incubator if they are OK.

Then I'll rig up the incubator properly for the next bach.

This was thrown together in a hurry.
