It's in memory of my great-grandmother. She loved owls, called me Buttercup and I'm a geologist, so...it is a Borrowing Owl, standing on a rock with buttercups all around. She's facing forward traveling life withe me, but looking over her shoulder watching my back.

Her eyes were bright blue, hence the blue eyes (owls have yellowish eyes).

I've had my tattoo for about 10 years. It's the back view of a naked fairy looking up and holding her arms up to the moon. The colors are really fading, I need to get it redone, but I'm too chicken. I am NOT one that finds them addictive. I found it PAINFUL!

My husband wasn't too keen on the idea of me getting a tattoo, so we made a deal- I'll only get the size and amount of tattoos that I can afford to have removed if I ever change my mind (yeah, THAT'LL happen!).
