Hello All!!! Well my question about my Light Brahmas have been answered I think.. I had wondered if one of them was a Roo, well the other morning when I went outside to let them out I saw the one in question trying to crow. Sounded pretty pathetic actually!!

Here is the thread: http://www.google.com/search?q=part...ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CBYQ_AUoAQ&biw=1640&bih=861

I am slightly disappointed though, I was told they were both pullets, and not only is he a roo, but not a pure Brahma eathier..

But regardless, I do love the little booger..

I am hoping he wont become a pain in the neck, or a loud yodeller. BUT should he become a problem one day, and I have to find him a new home, I wanted to make sure the remaining chicken wouldnt get lonely, so i got these two precious fuzzies!!!

I think they are EEs, was told Ameraucana, but I doubt it! These too, are supposed to be lil ladies....

This one has a polka-dotted face! Sooo cute and unique, cant wait to see what it looks like full grown!

The darker one has a little beard coming in! Adorable!!

The darker one also has a slightly lower wing carriage too. But is just as active and healthy acting as the other one...
Any ideas?

It is able to lift them, flap them, stretch them.... Just walks around with them slightly lower....

And here is the Roo in question.. What do you think, Roo? (Yes, I am still in denial)

And my other LB (The hen)

Thanks!! Any and all comments are welcome!!!!!

Hello.

I'm no expert but I'm thinking that if the 2 LBs are the same age, then the little one is probably a Roo. The comb is bigger and wattles are a bit bigger to , from what I can see.

Where did u get the fuzzies and LBs ?

Thanks for the reply!!

Yes, the LBs are supposedly the same age. And I hear the Roos tend to grow a little slower. They are rite at 17 wks now.. I got them from an individual near by off a Craigslist ad.

I just got the little fuzzerz from a feed store yesterday. Going to let them grow up and eventually introduce them to the bigger ones.

If the one LB is a Roo, would integration be more difficult? Or would he like having more pretty ladies? Thus far, the bigger female LB is the top chicken, though they do kinda tussle sometimes...
(They will flap at each other and use their feet to grab at one another.) Do hens do this as well?

Well I have 2 roo's that have their own pretty ladies.
They are from 2 different age groups and I didn't know if I could integrate the families back then, so I just left it at that.

Yes , hens will flap , kick a little and chest butt ..
Both sexes do that as soon as they can stand up outside their shell.

It's so funny to watch little fuzzies in their brooder , run full blast at each other then stop before they run into each other , then stand up Real tall and chest bump. !

Of course they are establishing their pecking order.

Thanks for the good info!

I do hope integrating will go smoothly.. All I can think of is as the fuzzies get bigger, so do the bigger ones.... But I want to set up a pen where they can watch one another throughout the day. Mite help with the process...

I love watching the lil peeps explore their cardboard box.. LOL
The lighter one is in love with pecking at the side of the water dish. Will just lay there and peck, peck, peck, peck...
While the darker one eats and eats and eats.. I think they have slept once that ive seen! Busy bodies!!!!

Let the Fuzzies outside today for a few.. Boy did they love it!! The bigger birds heard them peeping and were quite curious! LOL

I want to take pics of them weekly to see how they grow and change! Soooo curious to see how they plume out!
