I want some Pecan ducks! That would be a nice, brown, nut-colored duck, right?
I'm actually really lucky, because the feed store (not TSC) where I purchased my Cayugas had them labeled correctly, as well as the KC and Rouen and Pekin ducklings. It's a good thing, too, because I hadn't seen any photos of Cayugas before I asked for 'em. They COULD have given me anything other than the 'standard' yeller ducklings, and I wouldn't have known the difference. Most of the folks at that feed store are very helpful and knowledgeable, as well.
Oh, and they even had some Indian Runners, there!
But this store also has a great variety of correctly labeled chicks, too, separated into breeds, by "roosters" and "hens." Plus some bantam breeds. There were two breeds of chicken they didn't have sexed, and the breed was listed, with the added label "straight run." (All ducklings were straight run, by the way.)
