My new momma hen just laid an egg

I was so surprised, she started laying three days after she hatched her eggs. I thought it would be at least a month and possibly two.

Is she still caring for her chicks?

We had chicks under two broodies that hatched Mon-Wed & I'm wondering how the transition back to laying will go!

Yes, she not only is taking care of hers, but has adopted a half a dozen that are about two weeks old.
