Well, Ms MOLLY is doing good. Has been to the vet twice....one for her first checkup and the second time for her next set of shots. Going back in two weeks for her last set. She weighed 22lbs at the last appointment...I expect her to be a 60ish lb dog when full grown.
She did make a pitstop at Hardees with me. half the staff had to come to the drive thru window to see her. She was very popular!
She is sloooowly settling into the routine. No longer barks and whines in her crate at night. Has gotten pretty good at not having an accident at night but does have them every day in her crate (I'm gone from home a long time, so I don't blame her). She did chew giant holes in my rear exterior doorframe...whoops! It was already partially rotted and in need of replacement and so it is not the end of the world. Sigh.
She and Frankie spend all their time together when I am home. They get to go out back and run in the back half acre (where the chickens are) until dark, and then I try to leave them out on the back porch for a couple hours so they can keep running and playing. I usually just see a little blur go running past the kitchen door...then a big blur...then a little blur...then a big blur. They are having way too much fun. She goes back in her crate in the dining room at night....Frankie sleeps loose in the dining room....it connects to my bedroom and I leave the door open, so they are still "part of the family".
She is very sweet and can give as good as she gets from Frankie. Frankie used to be a major door darter (gate darter) and so has been trained to sit and wait at an open gate until I tell him okay. Molly is being taught the same.....she still tries to run out at first, bu when I pull her back in she will sit with Frankie and wait until I say Okay. Not bad for a less than 4 month old puppy. She is learning to sit on command too and definitely understands the concept.
We have a saying at my house "Good things come to dogs who sit". Since I have big dogs that like to jump around, I always require sitting before anything good happens. Treats, chewies, etc. Gotta sit first! Wanna go for a walk? Gotta sit to get the leash on! Want a biscuit? Gotta sit and wait for it. So, she is learning to sit and wait when she wants something. She sat next to my chair out in the yard yesterday just dying for a french fry. Her manners were better than Frankie's.....she at least would wait to have one rather than trying to sneak them when I wasn't looking.

You are doing an excellent job with her!! I will start using your quote "good things come to dogs who sit" with my clients. Its cute and a good, short, easy to understand way of explaining the NILIF concept. Thanks!
We do that in our house also. I have two huge older dogs, and a young ( 10 month ) german shepherd. She's rambunctious, but a good girl. She has to sit for everything. When I say OK, she knows she can go.
