My new rabbit.

That is a mixed breed. Not a purebred bunny. I have one large doe athome that looks just like her. def not a rex either. They have short, soft, plush feeling fur.

Rather easy actually,
she is a broken New Zealand.
same body type same markings and butterfly.
I have 2 in my barn right now.
Broken New Zealands just passed their final presentation and everyone is breeding them ( well except me, lol I cant find a perfect doe yet).

They are beautiful rabbits, nice meat rabbit also. usually shows very well.
I will get pics up of my 2 boys.

I doubt she's a broken NZ, either. They are new and still uncommon, and this sounds like he got it from someone who had it as a pet.

I agree with this. Hmm. My mix bred doe has the body and size of a newzealand. Wonder if it woul dbe wise to start some brokens out of her. People are cross breeding to get them anyhow right? Not saying wi woul ddo, but just a thought since I also have newzealands.

I would like to do that the problem is I don't know how old she is and I don't know anyone with ny NZ bucks.

ya looks like a mix breed to me. Due to her size id say shes old enough to breed if you want to. Do you know for sure its a girl?
I got a mix breed rabbit thats gray and white but he has floppy ears. they said he was a mix between a mini lop and a rex but i dont think he is hes to big lol.

You will find good newzealans at just about any rabbit show in your area. www.arba.net. You can also find culled newzealaands at a lot of livestock auction barns, on the weekends. And swap meets too.

She is for sure a girl. I would like to buy a buck but I am getting a mini rex doe in the spring and can't afford to buy to more cages. I wonder tho if someone would let me us there buck for a stud fee.

Looks like a mix to me too. I'll bet that she would throw decent meat bunnies if paired with a good NZ buck. Too bad I couldn't mail you one of mine for breeding, lol. This is one of my young bucks (5 1/2 months old) that I recently sold.
