So to get this all straight. Your ducks got out and some kids found them, then asked around to see who they belonged to and nobody seemed to really know. They pick them up then some person starts following them around wanting the property they took back and the person in question claims to have no clue. Is it possible that this kid #2 had not even mentioned it the other family members? This quite honestly seems like something many others on the forum have done when "Rescuing" ducks. Not trying to blame you for the whole thing. I just though there is probably a bit of a different perspective from the others involved (particularly after the screaming match with people who may honesty have had no clue what was happening)

Kid#1 told me when I got back with the ducks that he knew they were mine but he didn't do anything to stop them from taking them. What it boils down to is, my ducks are safe and it was a misunderstanding on most everybodys part.

may i ask something? if you knew they were 'stolen', and you knew who did it, why didnt you just ring the police? would have saved all that stress and heartache surely?
if someone stole my ducks, and i knew who did it, and i called enough times giving them a chance to give them back...yet they wouldnt reply, i would have been onto the police straight away.....
