I don't know if you're supposed to trim duck nails. It is normal for Muscovies to fly, and perch in trees. (Ours just snooze on the ground.) Do be careful of their nails, though- when we got our Muscovy box from the post office and opened it up, those Muscovy babies started climbing out of the box! With their claws!!

I just learned today, from first-hand experience, that Muscovy drakes are like piranhas on wings! Watch out for those claws, everybody!

Come on! That drake was thrashing like crazy! But my sister was holding one of the chocolate ducks and she ( the duck) looked sweet and content. Maybe they just need more TLC.
