My new Turkeys

Here is a quick photo of my new birds- they are still settling in and are a bit shy yet..I am wondering if I have two hens in spite of the small beard on one of them- they are just shy of being a year old (9 months old)- the one that I thought was a Tom has yet to puff up or vocalize- he sounds like the hen for the most part...
"His" tail feathers are uneven like most Jakes I have been around- I will try to grab some more photos as the day goes on- we are expecting a big storm so I have been giving everyone a bit of scratch today...

Nice looking turks. Might consider a cheap tarp cable tied on W/NW sides of run (if that is where storm is arriving from).

thanks- the roof and side opposite from the pix is metal as well as the lower 24" all around..they don't go in the shelter at all though..

Yes, ours aren't fond of 35mph winds at 0°F, and hang out in the shed but are otherwise `unmoved' until the temp. hits 100°F but, then, they figure that out too. Here's to a little less winter, every day. Post some more shots when you get a chance.
