My new Welsh Harlequin Drake

Tweek (love the name!) is going to be a very happy duck with all those girls to himself. LOL.

I just checked the dates and he was hatched June 15th, so he will be 9 weeks old on Monday! Hard to believe, isn't it?

How handsome he is. do not sweat the blue or the drake yet...mine have the blue they are all bigger than the females but only one has his drake feather...green is just peeking through on their heads.

Yeah, the Silvers all have blue speculums. The Golds have a brownish-bronze speculum.

I have heard that WH drakes take a long time to get their full plumage, but this is my first batch so I am not sure how long to expect it to take.

Tweek is a beauty...
My male was hatched may 18th.. He is just starting to have the green come through also... I thought he had drake feathers about a month ago but they fell out.. still waiting for them to come in...

Ahhh. So Tweek is 4 weeks younger than Bebe, Shelly and Wendy. It explains why THEY were chasing HIM around and nipping at him. Poor fellow...right now it is like he has 5 older sisters....LOLOLOL

That is where my girls are from. They are cute, but don't totally conform to standard.
