If you have 18 chicks and six are exactly the same, I don't think you could have got the Ameraucanas especially if they refunded you the money for them. I think you got all the rest plus 6 RIR roosters for warmth.

That box of chicks looks better than a box of chocolates!!! I agree with becky3086; I think the RIR's are your packing peanuts for warmth. They must have run out of the others you ordered, or not enough were hatched. Maybe they don't do 'back orders'.?

But it is exciting that You Have New Chickies!!!!
