I have a very hard time with poultry genetics but I do know this much about breeding with the percentages based on hatching 100 chicks.
The gene produces blue, black or splash
Blue x Blue = 25% Black (without the blue gene) 50% Blue (with one blue gene) 25% splash (with two blue genes)
Black x Blue = 50% Black 50% Blue
Black x Splash = 100% Blue
Blue x Splash = 50% Blue 50% Splash
Splash x Splash = 100% Splash
Mosby is Blue. Bonnie is blue. The predictable outcome of the hatching eggs is 25% Black (without the blue gene) 50% Blue (with one blue gene) 25% splash (with two blue genes). I won the gamble this round - 1 blue 2 splash chicks.
Those 2 splash babies will eventually feather out a dirty white with 'splashes' of color.
From another hatch of eggs from TOH I got these
L to R - splash, blue, ignore the next buff x blue it is non standard, in front a black.
Does that help at all?
