. She hatched out 15 of her own from a clutch of 18. We had a shipment of 17 Marans arrive soon after. So, I put one of the Marans down outside little misses nursery fence. She was all about helping the little peep get in, so I let it in to her. Then I brought the rest of the Marans out, one and two at a time. Little miss never missed a beat. We have a heated hutch for them so I'm satisfied that this "blended family " will do well!
