When this duckling hatched it was thought that she would be white. As she is feathering out white feathers are becoming a dusky grey blue color. She also has spotting on her bill which is very odd as I saw all the white ducklings as call’s usually have solid color bills and feet.
We now have these light grey feather on her butt and wings.

What do you think of my tiny little call duckling Skye.

Shes realy realy cute! There must be a mix in her genes somewhere down the line

The Saxony I hatched last here came from show quality parents, 2 were perfect and one had a different color bill, no circle around his neck and a big white patch on his face

I am not so sure she was supposed to be a white call. This egg set was like Christmas presents. Some of them wer totally a surprise l so this is just part of the surprise. Out of the 21 eggs that hatched I had lots of different options from grey, to blues, even pastels. who knows how everyone will turn out in the end.

Yes! It's a diluted blue. I LOVE my silvers and they are fairly rare!

Both of these are silvers

Silver with rusting on the chest

when I hatched them out I was hoping for some blues. But because the breeder didn’t show anything like silver I wasn’t expecting to have one show up. Makes me super excited to have one.
