My old girl is not doing well

She has stuff all over her. I liquified eggs and spinach and I got more on her than in her! Same with the Nutridrench! It’s everywhere! All the stuff on her is from me trying to force feed her! I don’t know what else to try to get in her but every morning when I get up - she’s the same.
If you take her on your lap and under your left arm, her head directed forward, you could gently tug at her little wattles with your left hand to open her beak, and then put a piece of scrambled egg or boiled egg right into her beak with your other hand and let go of the wattles, so she can swallow.

This works really well and does not stress the bird.

If you have a syringe without needle, you can apply a little amount of liquid (vitamins or carrot soup etc.)into her beak using the same method. Max. 1 ml at a time, so not to have it go the wrong way.

What medicine did the vet treat with for the worms? Did the vet give you anything to treat for the mites? I doubt that the Dawn bath will take care of them. The mite eggs can hatch out every 5-7 days. Mites cause anemia. Permethrin spray or dust can be used to treat them, but all bedding should be removed and nests, roosts, and facilities should be treated. Ivermectin pour-on 5mg per ml can also be used on the chicken at 0.1 ml per every 2 pounds. Repeat in 14 days.

RIP Rosalita my Chicken!

So sorry for your loss. You did everything you could for her and it is a credit to you. I'm quite upset reading this because it reminds me of my loss a few weeks ago. So much effort to do the best we can for our beloved little hens but sometimes, kind of philosophically I guess, it is just their time. It hits hard because the effort seems like it was in vain, but the effort was done with love - and love is never in vain.

Sleep well little Rosalita.

I did all of this. Rosie was my only chicken. I took care of her best I could and I believe she was really old but she lived the last 2 years of her life in chicken Shangri-La!
