My one month old cotton patch goose has angel wing on the one side. Thought about a week ago the one wing looked funny, instead of feathers on the one side looked like blue pins, today I come home from owrk and sure enough the wing is sticking out at a 90 degree angle to teh body. I look at my geese every night. This was not sticking out last night so I hope I caught it in time. I called my friend where I got this beautigul little goose and she said use the self adhesive stretchy tape and just tape the wing flat. She did not say to tape up againt the entire body so I only taped the wing flat itself. My question is; should I tape it againt the entire body? Or is the wing taped flat ok as is? please if anyone is aware let me know. Sadly the goose will not be out to feed in the grassy yard until day after tonmarrow, the weekend so I can watch for predators for her. I also have three 3 week old toulouse geese and they look fine. I will lower the protien intake and increase the green grass over the weekend. hopefully this will help.

Your doing exactly what I would suggest...shredded broccoloi stems and peas work great too...

Hey jynxster, sorry to hear about your cotton patch baby. The thread Celtic is talking about shows a drake I had that got angel wing. With the wrap done as Celtic shows, my drake's wing was 100% fixed in 5 days.

What % protein are you feeding? Should be no more than 18%.

Hope you are loving your babies as much as I bet you are. :D
