My one year old drake kakhi lost his mate...

Hi, we lost our female Pekin duck last night (predator), after the two grew up together as babies...they were so fun and inseparable. Now the drake is left alone and seems sad.
What should I do now?

Sorry for your loss. You need to fortify your pen to protect the drake and start searching for a new mate/mates. Good luck.

So sad for your loss. Please ensure your drake is safe sp that the preditor doesnt come back for him

I suggest you look for 2 (or 3 ducks if you have room) to keep him company. Where I live, my local rehabber has 30 ducks -- more drakes than females -- needing homes. I encourage you to contact your local wildlife rescue, your local humane society and local ASPCA to see if they have any ducks needing homes
