Yesterday was fairly nice here so I decided to let my chickens out for a while in the evening. i always sit outside with them and watch them. I noticed my BLRW hen was acting kind of strange, although she was walking around pecking at bits of grass and bugs or what ever they pick at. She wasn't going all over the yard as much as the other chickens though. I also noticed her acting as though she had hick ups, kind of like her crop would twitch or turn to one side in quick movements. She done this the whole time I watched her. Today DH came back in after feeding them and said he had to bury one of my chickens, yep it was her. I'm not real surprised she was dead, as I figured something was not right, but if they are eating and out walking around one day and dead the next just seems strange, Any ideas as to what it may have been?
