This morning one of my welsummer eggs hatched (only had two in the incubator on day 18... they are shipped eggs and must have been shaken a lot). I doubt the other will hatch, and in that event, I will have one chick. I am just now starting a flock, so I have no other chickens.
I need a companion for her/him!!! Don't want her to be sad and lonely.
Anyone in Oregon with newly hatched chicks? I live in COrvallis, but would be willing to take a trip in the valley (Eugene to Portland)
