my parents need to pick better hiding spots for presents lol

The fridge? Lol, now that's an interesting hiding place. My parents hid stuff in my closet when I was a kid because they knew I was oblivious. I never looked for gifts anyway . . . I was always one of those kids who, if given the choice, refused to open a gift because it needed to be opened on the day, and not a moment before.

My brothers decided to search for their gifts early one year, and they found some of them stashed in the study closet. Somehow my parents found out about it, and on Christmas morning every gift my brothers had found was replaced with an empty box with a note that said, "This gift has been donated to charity." My brothers were extremely upset, but they never tried to peek at their presents early again. I thought it was a great idea to teach them a lesson, but that's probably because I wasn't the one it happened to.

Bobwhites are pretty easy to hatch.

99.5°F, 45-55% humidity for the first 21 days; 65-75% humidity the last few days, should hatch on day 23-ish. They are a little smaller than the coturnix when they hatch, but act pretty much the same. Make sure you have marbles in the waterer, yada yada.

They tend to be a little more skittish than the coturnix, so the more you can gently handle them when they're little, the better.
Happy Birthday (early!) Have fun hatching!

Just wanted to give you hope..... I have hatched refridgerated chicken eggs. Ok, well, I haven't actually, but I gave some to a broody hen and SHE did.

Good luck and you are lucky to have parents like that!
