My pea family

These are nowhere near as good as the pictures that MinxFox posts, but I wanted to share a few pics of my peas...

In the back is my 3 year old pretty boy, he was sold to me as a Black Shoulder, but is dark pied. Not sure what to make of the brownish color on his shoulders, it isn't sun fade.

And their pied baby from last year, so far the only baby I got from them. He kept turning his head away just as I took his picture. In some lighting the blue on him looks green.

Thank you... I have always loved the feathers on their heads. It reminds me of tiny little beads or ting stitches like cross stitch or candle wicking.

Beautiful birds! I don't think I've seen a pied blackshoulder hen before, but it would be hard to tell! That's a LOT of white on their kid!
