My Peachick is Lonely

A few weeks ago, we had 2 peachicks. They were very close (mentally). One died and the most likely reason is that it lost too much blood being born (we had to help it out of the egg after hours of waiting). Now the other one is lonely and squeaks whenever someone leaves the room until someone comes back. Which birds would do well in my peachicks cage and won't fight? Button quails are able to just barely slip through the bars, so I'd prefer something a tad bigger. Not much, just big enough to be able to stay in the cage. Also, I'd like to be able to get them soon.
Thanks in Advance,

That is normal to peachicks- they form a very strong bond with their mom and brood mates too. If you can get a day-week old chick(yes chicken chick- try local feed stores?) or another young peachick, get one. Just not anything too much older than your baby.

Try putting in a large mirror and also a stuffed animal and see if that works.

You have my sympathy, had to deal with a single peachick before and couldn't get anything as a buddy for it.. it was so demanding and spoiled- first 3 weeks it refused to eat at all unless I was holding up bits of food.. but it grew up into an awesome pet.

Chicken? Oh, that's great! Maybe I could get 2 so that I could breed them and taste homemade chicken egg (kekekeke). But I can't find any peachicks. We checked everywhere and called the major companies.

Well, I have no mirrors but I can put in a stuffed animal.

Thanks. This is just like when KirbyI was with us. He was the lucky one of the batch. Would only accept things from our hands. Luckily, this one's old enough to know how to...y'know...eat...drink...by itself, though.
