My Peahens are Laying..my peahens are laying!!

I got so excited that my 2 india blues started laying exactly on fathers day! Problem is the male is the same age as them and is not fertile yet - at least I don't think he is. He has no eye feathers in his tail but he displays all the time and calls. He's just starting to get some blue in his tail feathers. I hope that by next year he will be fertile.

Try setting the eggs anyhow... my pair is 2 years old and the male also has no eye feathers. I put 7 of the eggs under a broody hen (chicken) on June 8th. Some of the eggs were probably too old (over two weeks), when I candled them 3 look like they are developing. Doesn't hurt to try!

Im in the same boat with 5 Java / Spaulding eggs...

All most all 2 yr old male are fertile, in the blues that is.

Had one with 2 eye feather with 3 hens.....lots ot fertile eggs.
