I have a chick that was born on may 16, she has been doing fine until a day ago. She is breathing heavy through her mouth and she won't walk at all. She wont eat or drink I've been force watering her and giving vitamins. She seems to be paralized in her legs and wings also stretching her neck out and very weak. Can anyone help please?

There are a few things that come to mind. Thiamine or riboflavin deficiency , if you are giving vitamins be sure B is covered. The other is botulism, has the chick had access to any moldy or rancid food ? What do you feed them ? What does the poop look like.

No bad food and the other three chicks are fine. She was to she is almost three weeks old and honestly is was overnight this happened. And her pool is green and white after I started a vitamin supplement.

Green poop usually means her system is empty. Try making up some scrambled egg and watch to see that she is eating. Do you think she may have been injured? Is she trying to walk? What kind of vitamins are giving her?

She isn't trying to move at all her eyes are closed
She isn't very alert at all and no she hasn't ate or drank since ssaturday night but I am giving her water with a dropper I am giving her polyvisol drops

That explains the green poop. You need to bring her in and keep her warm. In the absence of mouldy feed, my next guess would be coccocidiosis . You need to get some feed into her. I would try to get a little buttermilk into her and try to source some corrid . The buttermilk will put a lining on her stomach.

As Fancychooklady said botulism from eating a dead animal or vegetation or maggots could be a possiblilty, along with vitamin deficiency, but avian encephalomyelitis (AE) could also be a possibility. If the chick has been in a brooder, and not with a mother hen, I would suspect coccidiosis or a vitamin deficiency, and treat with Corid first, then vitamins at the same time. Normally vitamins are not given at the same time as Corid, but PolyVisol W/O iron 2-3 drops daily may have an impact on the chick's health. There are so many possibilities . I had a young bird display similar symptoms from heat stress, but unfortunately it died rather quickly. Diagnoses is often the hardest part. Can you think of anything environmental that may have contributed to this ? Keep a close eye on its hatch mates .
