i just noticed one of my pekins has Bumblefoot on both of its feet, it’s “pad” on each foot is swollen and scabby.
I got my 3 pekins as adults and this are not that tame. They do not let me get close enough to pick them up so I just now realized what was going on.
There are some residual blackberries in there run and I’m thinking that maybe it poked it’s feet on them, and then with there run being so wet and muddy for the winter (coastal Northern California) it became infected.
I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions?
I was able to wrangle her yesterday evening and gave her a quick soak in warm water with some Epsom salts. She did not like being restrained in the tub so it is going to be a challenge
I was hoping to do multiple Epsom salt soaks daily, and look to see if I can find any of the Theracyn locally? I also think I still have a can of some blue-kote left over. Hoping to avoid a vet visit/surgery
