My Peking Ducks' Bill is Almost Completely Black?

I have a male Peking that is about 4 years old. He bill is almost entirely black. I give him peas weekly, with red palm oil.
He has access to a large run with grass etc. I give them scraps of veggies etc.

Is this normal?

I have not seen a pekin's bill looking like that.

Can we have a little more history, @RobertK ?

Did the boy start off with a normal yellow/orange bill?

When did it change color?

Over how long a period did it change?

I don't know about feeding ducks palm oil. Which country are you in? Do other duck keepers use palm oil?

Have his feet and particularly his nails also gone black?

Is he eating and behaving normally?

He seems perfectly normal. Feet are normal. I give them red palm oil based on a recommendation from a vet who told me it helps with their immune system. I am going to start giving them more corn and kale.

Is he being fed a duck/poultry feed as well? Or just the grass, scraps, peas and palm?

Yes, duck layer pellets.
