Hello,
My 2yr old dove has been acting sleepy and on the weaker side since Friday. I haven't been home with him for 5 days, could this cause him to mourn? My brother has been taking care of him and I'm not sure if he was walking around on the floor and ate something. He has a lack of interest in food and only wants to drink. I gave him some of the dove formula ( crop milk with vitamins) and electrolytes. What could be wrong? He goes watery poo and in between a few of those he goes a normal poo. He is alert and walking around here and there, but sleeping a lot. He won't leave me. And he is going thru molt. His diet is pigeon seeds.

If anyone could help me id what is going I would be very happy to try to save him. He is my loved pet and has so many stories.
Here are some pictures of him.

My dear Mr. Pichon , what could be wrong with you? 😔

Mr. Pichon may be weak from stress, molting, or even mourning your absence, but his watery droppings, sleepiness, and lack of appetite suggest an underlying issue like infection (such as canker), digestive upset, or organ stress. Since he’s still drinking and sometimes passing normal droppings, keep him warm and hydrated with electrolytes, and hand-feed small amounts of formula for strength, while watching closely for changes.

Thanks! This helps me so much! :hugs:hugs I'll continue to do as you said.🥰
