I bought the last baby turkey last week. It was all alone in the brooder at the feed store so I had to take it home. I let it out to play in the backyard, but it just wants to sit by the window.

It also thinks my DH is it's momma. It follows him around and even runs to catch up. When my husband goes inside, it sits at the sliding door, peeping.

Well it's not happy outside because none of the chickens interact with it, so I brought it into the kitchen, and it's sitting by the sliding glass door taking a nap.

Awe, sweet! I always though it would be neat to have a turkey struttin' around the yard. Post a pic if you can!

Baby turkeys are soooo sweet and curious. I really love watching the way they strut around, too. I have two BB Bronze and they are feathering out gorgeous.

Glad you rescued your little friend

i bought two bronze breasted bronze turkeys that were born in march.. them little things follow me everywhere.. do not let them try cat food oh god they watched me feed teh cats the other day so now everytime i open the barn door they run straight to the cat food.. they eat more than teh cats

I raise bronze breasted bronze turkeys as pets and the school groups love them when they tour the farm. My turkeys are so tame and gentle they walk right up and sit beside the kids when I call them.

Oh yay! That loners get you too huh? I'm glad I wasn't there that day, or I would have been the one to rescue the little bugger! He/she sounds so sweet, post some pics!! Congrats on the little Gobbler!

I don't know what kind it is, but I'm guessing broad breasted white. It is white with a bit of buff coloring on it's head.

I wish I could post some pics, but for some reason my computer won't upload the pics from my phone. I'll get DH to look at it.
