My plans for the future-chickens, ducks, quail

I know that feeling all too well.

Things you should know for high school (and middle school):

1. Depression is just a chemical imbalance in your brain. It may seem horrible at times, but if it is really bad talk to your parents about getting help.
2. Don’t vape or smoke or ingest nicotine and tobacco of any kind. It kills, and your name doesn’t have to be added to the list of lives lost form it.
3. Bullies are just mad because they have other problems. No one hates you, anyone who says that is having other problems most likely.
4. If you don’t love someone, you don’t need to be in a relationship with them. It’s your choice, and one sided relationships turn toxic way too quickly.
5. Don’t get pregnant if you are a girl, and don’t impregnate other teenagers if you are a boy. It’s a bad thing to do.
Thanks for being so helpful and giving so much great advice! I am pretty sure that I have mild anxiety, but that has not been officially diagnosed. I'm going to try my best to stay the hell away from any addictive substances-they are addictive, harmful, they cost money, and I have little self control with similar stuff. As for dating, my current status is that I'd die of shock if anyone found me to be worth asking out. No dating would be accomplished. As for getting pregnant, I definitely won't on purpose any time soon, if ever, but am worried about creeps that don't ask first, and drag you to a back ally way and kill you. I honestly don't know how to avoid that, so any advice on avoiding creepy guys is appreciated.

Don’t walk alone, ever. A creepy dude won’t normally try to get you if you have a friend.

I have social anxiety, so I know all about the horrors of that. Therapy helps a lot if you get diagnosed, and medication can help in really bad situations.

And, don’t be scared to tell someone if you like them. The worst thing that could happen is they say no, and they didn’t like you before so nothing would change.

Also, if someone is being rude, you have the right to be rude back. If you get in trouble, I recommend pleading the 1st.

Ok, will do. I also know that for clothing, the best way to avoid issues is to wear a parka with a full length skirt and winter boots to avoid showing literally any skin -_- (that was sort of a joke)

I mentioned talking to the doctor about anxiety and got a positive reaction, but quarantine isn't helping.

Being scared to tell someone that I don't like them probably won't come up in the near future, as I currently get about as much attention as a white crayon, in that department.

I actually have to work on my 'think before I speak' tactics. People get what they give with me.

After further discussing things like college and money and jobs, I'm realizing that yeah....my dreams of living on a mini farm don't seem exactly likely to come true. I've downgraded my plans hopes to this:
10 chickens, but room for 15. Nobody knows when chicken math might strike.
3 ducks, but room for 6. I'm pretty sure that chicken math also applies for ducks.
5 quail, but room for 10. Self explanatory. I'll probably keep it at 5 quail, and let them enjoy the extra space.
1 cat.
Optional:
-1 rabbit
-1 dog
I still have my evil plans for a small bantam flock, but in hindsight to planning all this maybe I should focus more on survival and less on how many chickens I'd like to get.

I would still keep hoping for luck and having your dream come true. It probably won’t happen, but it’s always good to have goals.

The costs that I'm most worried about are the startup costs: building a coop, setting up a brooder, buying the chicks. Chickens are fairly cheap to maintain, at least the way I see it. The prices on food and bedding are quite low. Maybe I should move to Canada-Canada seems nice. Free healthcare, lots of moose, and everyone is very polite.

My plans:
A herd of Alpine goats
A flock of muskovies, ayam cemanis, a ton of other chickens (too many breeds to decide on just one or two), maybe seramas, sebrights, naked necks, etc. etc. etc, button quail, snowflake quail, celadon quail, royal palm turkeys
A herd of polish rabbits and californians maybe some rex
a huge garden
some sheep and pigs, a dairy cow

Sounds like good plans! :)

Things are more expensive in Canada. Healthcare isn't exactly free. We pay for it through our taxes, but everyone has access to the same care. COVID tests are covered for everyone as are doctor visits and other medical procedures. Yes, it is not as crazy as what is going on south of the border. We are watching what you are all going through down there and it looks quite scary. We prayed for your country in church last weekend! And, yes we are polite. We find it kinder to help "stupid" people learn rather to than savage and destroy them.
