My polish crested is acting funny

my polish has been acting very strange. At first I thought she was broody but then she started coming out of the coop all day but when she did her feathers were all puffed up. I have 2 other silkies who are mothers of 8 hatchery chicks but if one of them starts clucking loudly she will come and start to peck at it. It would actually be funny if it wasn't hurting my chicks. She has never acted this way before and the only thing I can attribute it to is that she misses her friend that i recently had to give away and no longer knows her place or she is sick because she also has really bad breath. Any ideas? Thanks

is it her breath or her beard (if shes even bearded) my friend had one that had a yest infection in her beard.

her breath i've been reading about sour crop and that might be it but most people make their chicken throw it up. to me that sounds kinda mean is there any other way to get rid of it
