Hello everyone i just picked up my first polish hen from the NE Poultry congress show on saturday. she is a beautiful bird and used to be a show bird but the reason she sold her was because there were to many black feathers on top of her crest. I guess they pluck out the black feathers for the show! which i never knew about and thought was crazy
i don't know much about showing so i learned something new.
well anyways i noticed she is having a very hard time seeing and was wondering if i am able to trim some feathers around her eyes i don't want her to be with the other chickens and have her be picked on and run into everything or get lost since my birds free range during the day.
Any help on what i should do is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
